ENROLLMENT PROCESS
When you submitted the interest form, that shared that you wanted to learn more about BH2.
To further secure your child’s seat, you MUST complete a quick application.
Please complete the official BH2 STREAM School application online at: bit.ly/bh2app26
Open Enrollment: February 1 – April 1
Applications submitted by April 1 will be included in the lottery (see next section), if needed
If you need a paper application, one can be provided upon request
HOW THE LOTTERY WORKS (In Simple Terms)
BH2 STREAM School is a tuition-free public charter school, open to all students who qualify to attend North Carolina public schools. There is no test, interview, or academic requirement—only a completed application.
If more students apply than seats available, we will hold a random lottery on April 1.
Some students receive priority as required by North Carolina law:
Children of full-time staff and board members (limited by law)
Siblings of currently enrolled students
Economically Disadvantaged students (who receive additional lottery weight)
The lottery is run using an independent system, ensuring the process is fair and cannot be adjusted by school staff.
Lottery results will be:
Posted on our website within 5 business days
Sent to families by email
AFTER THE LOTTERY
If your scholar is selected in the lottery:
You will receive an offer of admission
You must accept the seat by the deadline provided
You will submit enrollment paperwork, which includes:
Proof of North Carolina residency
Permission to request school records
Immunization records
⚠️ Seats not confirmed by the deadline may be offered to students on the waitlist.
Families on the waitlist can monitor their position through updates posted online.
